Beloved,

Thank you so much for allowing us to share energy together in 2022. I pray that it has been as revelatory for you as it has been for me.

Some have made a significant breakthrough in clarifying our identity and defining our purpose.

While others have experienced life changing events and are working through the process of finding the truth in how the situation changed our lives. [Hint: Go Deeper]

Regardless of what space we occupy in this moment, we owe it to ourselves to pause and ponder how we approach #2023.

There are many ways to do our goal setting plan for next year and, at least to me, there’s only one non-negotiable requirement for the system you choose.

⁃ The system must help you to accomplish your goals and build positive habits.

…but, that’s the easiest part of the journey.

For some of us, the challenge is in allowing ourselves the gift of truth about who we are and what motivates us to pursue our goals.

That gift is packaged in a courageous look at whether or not we’re applying our talents to the ultimate gift of understanding our purpose in the context of God’s will for our lives.

Until we unpack the first gift; we risk developing goals that are based on a misguided or limiting perspective of ourselves.

⁃ A misguided perspective may lead us to pursue a journey that isn’t aligned with God’s will for us.
⁃ A limiting perspective may prevent us from making full use of our strengths (talents, skills and knowledge)

Having access to the ultimate gift allows us to keep our hearts open for the replenishment and nourishment of our spirits.

I believe that our Spiritual wellbeing is the foundation of our total wellbeing; and that the intensity of our Spiritual wellbeing determines our ability to bring clarity and focus to the other domains of life (Physical, Financial, Career, Relationships, Community).

The greatest act of love is allowing ourselves the chance to experience life through the lenses of a balanced and interconnected well-being.

This is where we must go deep…and the hardest part is getting started.

Just like we need a unifying system to help us accomplish our goals; we also need a unifying system that helps us to connect our internal exploration of self.

CHALLENGE: Please try this exercise before creating your #2023 goals. This exercise has three parts.

PART A: Reflect on how these seven principles compare to the space that you currently occupy. You may apply this exercise to any method (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) that encourages your consistent growth.
1. I Believe — What I BELIEVE is what I accept.
2. I Accept — What I ACCEPT is what I do.
3. I Do — What I DO is how I feel.
4. I Feel — What I FEEL is how I speak.
5. I Speak — What I SPEAK is how I see my inner and outer worlds.
6. I See — What I SEE is who I AM.
7. I Am — I AM all that I BELIEVE / ACCEPT / DO / FEEL / SPEAK / SEE.

PART B: Compare the space that you currently occupy with the intensity of your spiritual connections to each of these principles.

What does that look like?

Ask yourself whether you’re energized or drained by your viewpoint of these principles on your life.

Our Most High and Infinite Creator designed us with a barometer to gauge the pressure of truth on our daily activities. The beauty of this is that, whether we seek our not, truth is embedded within us.

The closer that we are aligned with truth; the more favorable the pressure that we experience in reaction to a given event.

PART C: Try to rewrite your perspective to align with your source of truth.

Now that you’ve reset your the core of your wellbeing (Spiritual); you are ready to make goals that are fully aligned with your purpose AND offer you replenishment from within.

Make bold choices
Make self-care a priority
Make your destiny as real as possible today

Excited for your empowered self.
