Be Kind To Yourself

I have had many periods of my life where I missed the chance to master a certain obstacle because I doubted my own abilities. Feelings of frustration often led to experimenting with a number of logical, rational approaches to suppress those doubts so that I could “get on with my life”.

Thankfully, someone very special walked alongside me until I discovered that it how I treated myself in the past was the very thing that led to self-doubt. Ironically, the antidote for me had nothing to do with logic; rather, it was having the courage to get in touch with what I was feeling about my experiences (good and bad).

Have you ever engaged in negative self-talk because of that deadline you missed…or you didn’t quite reach the results that you’d hoped for?

A picture might be worth a thousand words…but our words can either give or take energy within multiple realms (physical, emotional, mental or spiritual) of our human existence.

Negative self-talk can diminish your abilities to make positive changes or break through to new levels.” — Fran Fischer

When I learned how to be kind to myself, I gained the courage to step outside of comfort zones (myself and others)…even better, I improved my ability to live intentionally within an environment of my own choosing.

Although being kind to yourself is different for many people, I’d like to share with you my favorite twelve ways that work for me. Please feel free to use them as a guide for loving yourself deeper.
